Christ appearing to Saint Martin

The story of Saint Martin on capital W08PP49 is continued on this side of the pillar. Christ appears to Martin in dream, after the Saint had shared his cloak with the beggar.
The capital shows, in the relief on its north side, Christ with the mantle. He holds it up high with outstretched arms. He has a beard and half-long hair, is barefoot, and is wearing a tunic with cloak.
Christ is flanked by two pairs of angels, who turn towards him. These four angels are also barefoot and dressed in long robes. They hold their hands over their breast as in prayer, show the palms of their hands, or hide their hands in a fold of their garments.
The angel on the north-west corner is especially badly damaged.
One of the capitals on the north portal of the church shows the same scene in a similar composition.
